Never
Give Up.
Workforce development, accountability, and real support for returning citizens and veterans. No paperwork walls. No judgment. Just results.
Built on Presence,
Not Paperwork.
Most reentry programs sit behind desks. We stand in the community. NeverGiveUp DMV is relationship-driven, accountability-centered, and led by someone who has walked alongside this community for over 15 years.
Founded by Robert Brown — former sole employee of the DC Office of Returning Citizens (2006–2010) — our model creates trust and credibility that institutional programs can't replicate. 40,000+ served. 3,000+ placed in skilled trades. This isn't theory. It's proven.
We serve returning citizens, veterans, high-risk youth, and individuals transitioning from homelessness or substance abuse recovery across DC, Maryland, and Virginia. Our free 6-week workforce development program combines mental conditioning, financial literacy, job placement, and ongoing alumni support — because transformation doesn't end at graduation.
5 Pillars of
Transformation.
6 weeks. 12 sessions. One commitment: show up and do the work.
Know Yourself
Identity mapping, limiting beliefs, emotional intelligence. You can't change what you won't face.
Own It
SMART goals, accountability partners, public commitment. No excuses. No shortcuts.
Break the Pattern
Habit loops, CBT techniques, 30-day behavior tracking. Old patterns die when new ones take over.
Money Talks
Zero-based budgeting, debt strategy, financial literacy. Your bank account reflects your discipline.
Connect the Dots
Personal Action Plan, employer pipelines, community support. Integration is graduation.
Stronger
Together.
Every person who walks through our doors is a hero in the making. The cape isn't given — it's earned through accountability, consistency, and the refusal to quit.
This is the energy we bring. This is the belief we carry. When you join NeverGiveUp DMV, you're not just entering a program — you're joining a movement that believes in your power to transform.

“The only person who can change your life is the one staring back at you.”
— Robert Brown, Founder

What is NeverGiveUp DMV?
NeverGiveUp DMV is a free reentry and workforce development program run by Never Give Up Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in the DC-Maryland-Virginia region.
